#UKLearning Event at RIBA - Session 1

Today I have the great pleasure of speaking at 'A Revolution in Environments for Learning' a UK Learning Event hosted at the Royal Institute of British Architects. The event was launched by Terry White who is a Executive Director of UK Learning and CEFPI Task Force Member.


What strikes me about the event already is the sheer focus that this group has on putting the consumer, which in the case of school design is the learner first. The below emphasises this point very well:


Nigel Ostime, RIBA representative, spoke on the importance of architecture and working towards what the clients (learners) want. You can read more about Nigel by clicking here.

Next we heard from Caroline Buckingham from HLM Architects. Caroline shared the exciting work she is involved in bring new live to old space. One great example is 'The Business Academy' Bexley photos of which are included below:
