GEG Meet Up at Google

Today I joined @GEG_UK colleagues for an informal discussion with members of the Google Edu Team at Google’s Buckingham Palace Road Office in London.

The group is a platform for Google Educators in the UK to discuss their work, share ideas and build a community of people with the same interests. GEG UK is essentially a group of volunteers running a community for teachers by teachers.

A video of GEG UK’s most recent Live Hangout can be seen below -

Hopefully in time this is a group that will grow and support the innovative use of Google and Google Education products and services.

Guest post from Angus Dawson - Cutting Edge Target Setting

Being proactive with target setting means that students at IPACA are in control of managing their own learning. Each term students set themselves three new learning targets which will build on their previous goals and add complexity to the way they develop as learners. The use of the Chromebook Target App allows students to record and track their performance data, and provides the opportunity for them to check their progress whenever they want. The Chromebook Target App is unique to IPACA, and is a great example of cutting edge Digital Innovation being used to support students achieving the best possible results they can.
